In appreciation of his ongoing commitment and dedication to Live & Learn, this award is presented to Daniel Sciortino.

Mr. Sciortino works in Consumer, Small Business, and Wealth Management Client Care at Bank of America. He serves as the Phoenix Market Chair for Bank of America Community Volunteers and Better Money Habits Champions. With the Office of the Market President, Mr. Sciortino helps to determine the biggest needs in the Phoenix community and identify local nonprofits addressing those needs. For the past six years, Mr. Sciortino has received recognition for volunteering over 1,000 hours annually.

In the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Mr. Sciortino offered financial literacy workshops to women in Live & Learn’s program, equipping them to take control of their finances even in the most difficult of times.

Many people checked out during the Pandemic, but Daniel stepped up. Live & Learn had no workshop presenters, and he stepped in to offer three a month. Like everyone, he was dealing with the stress and uncertainty of it all, yet he would still hop onto Zoom for Live & Learn women in the evenings. On top of that, he was always open for one-on-one support of women needed.

— Iris Ortega, Live & Learn Community Engagement Manager

On top of this, Mr. Sciortino champions Live & Learn supply drives, attends community events, is a member of the Live & Learn Circle, and advocates for Live & Learn, helping to steer needed resources to the organization.
