You can empower survivors of domestic violence by participating in our annual Toiletry Drive! Financial need is the #1 reason women return to an abusive relationship. Live & Learn works with 200 domestic violence survivors each year. Your toiletry donations help women stay stable as they work towards self-sufficiency! This October, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are collecting the following items:  Toothbrush/Toothpaste Soap/Body Wash Shampoo/Conditioner Hair Products Feminine Hygiene Products Deodorant  Lotion You can help in three ways: Drop off toiletry donations! This virtual Lunch & Learn features a guided conversation focused on: the Power and Control Wheel as a tool for understanding the tactics abusers employ, the effects of domestic violence on our local community, the opportunities we all have to help. Volunteer this October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month! You are invited to join us for an important volunteer activity to support survivors of domestic violence. Enjoy some coffee, connect with other volunteers, and make a difference. Bring a friend!     We will be creating care packages with full-sized toiletry items during this time. Volunteers are invited to bring supplies to donate. You can contact us to learn how you can rally your coworkers, neighbors, or social circles to host your own supply drive! Come have coffee with Live & Learn for Purple Thursday 2022! Join us on Purple Thursday 2022 for coffee, pastries, and discussion. Meet Live & Learn staff, volunteers, and supporters. Hear from speakers about the effects of domestic violence on Maricopa County women, families, and communities. In addition, attendees will learn about the challenges and victories achieved by women in Live & Learn's unique program. Purple Thursday is a national day honoring survivors of domestic violence. It takes place every year in October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please wear purple in alliance and support of domestic violence survivors.

Volunteer Event: Pack for Survivors

Volunteer with us as we pack Totes-of-Hope (critical care packages) for survivors of domestic violence! Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) is observed nationwide every October to show unity and support to Survivors of Domestic Violence. This event has limited space, so RSVP to volunteer today! We can only accommodate 10 volunteers.  We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds. To volunteer, you must be 18 years old or older, unless accompanied by an adult. Consider making a donation to support survivors this Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please email Hope@liveandlearnaz.org for more information.
