🌟 Meet Sara, a resilient mother determined to break the cycle of violence and poverty for her children. Raised in instability and abuse, Sara found herself facing similar challenges as an adult. But with the support of organizations like Save the Family and Live & Learn, she refused to give up.
Despite experiencing homelessness and setbacks, Sara remained focused on creating a better future. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, she adapted and persevered, determined to provide for her family.
With guidance from Live & Learn, Sara secured a job at Carvana, earning $18/hour.
Sara's story is a testament to resilience and the transformative power of support. Together, we can break the cycle and create brighter futures for women like Sara and her children. 💪🏽✨

You can empower survivors of domestic violence by participating in our annual Toiletry Drive!
Financial need is the #1 reason women return to an abusive relationship.
Live & Learn works with 200 domestic violence survivors each year. Your toiletry donations help women stay stable as they work towards self-sufficiency!
This October, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are collecting the following items:
- Toothbrush/Toothpaste
- Soap/Body Wash
- Shampoo/Conditioner
- Hair Products
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Deodorant
- Lotion
You can help in three ways:
- Drop off toiletry donations! Email hope@lliveandlearnaz.org to schedule a drop off time, or stop by Live & Learn’s office Monday – Thursday from 9AM – 4PM.
- Host a toiletry drive! Rally your friends, neighbors, coworkers behind this important cause.
- Make a financial donation here!
