October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

You can make a difference in the lives of local women who are domestic violence survivors by attending our Volunteer & Connect event. Bring a friend and let’s empower survivors!

What is a Volunteer & Connect event? A small group of volunteers get together, enjoy coffee and light refreshments, connect with each other, and work together to make a difference.

What will we do? At this event, volunteers will work together to prepare tote bags for survivors of domestic violence.

Activities will include:

• Sorting donations of toiletries
• Packing Totes of Hope (tote bags filled with the essentials for a mom and child headed back to school!)
• Writing Notes of Hope for women who are domestic violence survivors
• Writing thank you cards to the generous donors who supported our toiletry drive!

What should you bring? An open heart and a generous spirit!

We will be moving around, so please dress comfortably.

We welcome donations of full-size toiletries including, but not limited to:

• Shampoo and Conditioner
• Lotion
• Deodorant
• Period Products
• Razors
• Toothbrushes
• Toothpaste
• and more!
