The Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation (deltadentalaz.com) works to promote good oral health practices and increase access to dental care for underserved Arizonans. For 2022, Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation has made a generous grant of $12,000 to support Live & Learn’s unique Healthy Women, Healthy Families initiative.

I’m going to go to Mexico and get them all pulled I think.” Ana was 32 years old, a domestic violence survivor and mother of three, when she explained this to her Live & Learn Client Coordinator. Live & Learn coached Ana through seeing a local dentist for a cleaning and exam, following up with her treatment plan, and taking her children to the dentist.
By helping women, Live & Learn’s Healthy Women, Healthy Families initiative changes long-term health outcomes for children. Live & Learn offers ongoing, one-on-one support and resource navigation to help women living in poverty access physical, dental, mental, and vision healthcare services. Women receive education, coaching, and assistance to overcome barriers to care for themselves and their families, including such barriers as cost, fear, and stigma.
In 2022, generous funding from the Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation will provide 200 Maricopa County women with the supportive services they need to access dental care for themselves and their children.
