In appreciation of her ongoing commitment and dedication to Live & Learn, this award is presented to Teresa Sullivan.  After moving from New York to Arizona in 1997, Teresa began pursuing a career in finance. In 1998, she started working as a loan officer and then, in 2019, she began a dual career as a Realtor to help others better understand all sides of the home buying process. Not only has she had these two careers, she also studied cranial sacral therapy with Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and practiced her modality in Hawaii. In recognition of her personal and professional accomplishments, as well as her ongoing work to make a difference in the community, Jocelyne Cruz is Live & Learn’s 2023 Distinguished Alumna. Jocelyne is a 27 year old native to Phoenix, Arizona. Her work in the community includes various positions in nonprofits including: Head Start teacher, home visitor, parent educator, and social services coordinator.  Currently, she is a teacher at Friendly House, a Phoenix-area nonprofit that empowers communities through education and social services. She has great passion for shaping young minds. In addition, Jocelyne holds an ambassador position to represent her community

Our Master of Ceremonies Ian Schwartz Ian Scwartz an Arizona native, born and raised in Mesa, and a graduate of Arizona State University, Ian is thrilled to support great causes in his community like Live & Learn. After starting his journalism career in Illinois, Ian worked in Albuquerque and later Sacramento. In the field as a reporter, he has covered flash floods, blizzards, tornadoes, wildfires, drought, and just about everything the weather can offer. After spending some time reporting, Ian decided to further his education and completed Mississippi State’s broadcast meteorology program. Ian loves everything about Arizona’s weather, from winter
